Where Did January Go?

January 2015 Calendar image
I don’t know about you, but this month seemed to fly by for me. In January we typically make resolutions or set goals. Now that the first month of the year is just about over, it is a good time to reflect on how we are doing.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

~ Aristotle

Maybe you did better in one area than another. This can often happen when we focus on only one area. Yes, focus is important, but we also need to remember to not lose focus on other important areas.

For example, if you completely focused on your health goals for January, that is great. But did you remember to also spend time with family and friends? Create career or business goals and take steps to achieve them? Plan for some fun?

And did you remember to celebrate – even your small achievements and successes?

Don’t beat yourself up about what you did or did not do in the past 30 days. Just recommit to the changes you need to make now.

Remember A, B & C

Act – What actions are you taking that will get you closer to your goals?

Balance – Remember to consider all the areas of your live. You won’t necessarily achieve balance every day or even every week. Make sure that you schedule time for fun, too.

Celebrate – Celebrate even you small success, even if it is just a woo hoo to yourself (or out loud) when you have accomplished a task. Need more tips on celebrating, check out &Celebrate.

Thanks for the shout out, Judy! Finding myself celebrating all of the little things I accomplished this month & being gentle with myself around all of the things I set out to accomplish, but didn’t. 🙂
