This is not about an actual dialogue, but one that you write in your journal. I use two different color pens – one for myself and one for the person I am having the conversation with.
This may seem a bit odd at first, but it is a very powerful tool. You can dialogue with someone living or not, someone real or imaginary.
For instance, the other day, I had concerns over something, so I had a dialogue in my journal with one of my favorite people – my Brat!! I once told a friend that I didn’t have an inner child, I had an inner brat! She said, “No, you have an outer brat!!!”
My brat is one of the voices in my head. You know, you have them too, one is usually the critic. But in this case, my brat is the voice of a teenage girl. Not just any teenage girl, but one with attitude.
It’s great to get a different perspective. For instance, I write something like – What if I don’t get this done on time?” And she says, “Puhleeze!! You know you always do whatever it takes to get something finished!” “You’re right, I’m usually pretty good at that.” And she says, “DUH!” See what I mean about the attitude.
My Jem for you today is to have a dialogue with someone in your journal. It’s a great way to utilize the voices in your head to figure things out. Have fun with this.
Some of our voices in our head, that we may not even be conscious of, are giving us messages about money. These messages may be supportive….. or not.
In my January workshop, we will explore some of our past conditioning regarding money that may be holding us back from achieving all that we can. Click the link below to learn more and register for MONEY MATTERS – a 1-Day workshop on Sunday, Jan 25th 2009.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Hi Judy,
I often have conversations on paper in my journal and I find it fascinating to read what appears at the end of my pen. I love the freedom of being able to say exactly what I want to and not have to worry about hurting anyone’s feelings or being judged. I think writing about past conditioning regarding money is an excellent workshop topic and I’d be siging up to attend right now, however, I have another workshop already scheduled for that day. I hope I can attend a future workshop with you soon. Also, it was a pleasure meeting you at eWomen recently.
Be well,
Mary
