Happy New Year
There is always something magical about the turning of the calendar from one year to the next. Technically, we start a new year every day, but when we flip the calendar from December to January there seems to be such a feeling of hope and a belief in infinite possibilities for the New Year.
“Some people swear there is not beauty left. No magic. Then how do you explain the entire world coming together on one night to celebrate the hope of a New Year.”
~ Hilary Swank as Claire Morgan in New Year’s Eve
It’s a great time to mindmap or list all the things you have dreamed of doing, seeing or becoming.
As you do this, notice if you heart that voice that says – “that’s silly” or “you can’t do that” and write those ideas down anyway. No judgment. No critiquing. If it comes into your head, just write it down.
Then review what you have written and reflect on it. Any surprises? Now consider the possibilities of creating some of these possibilities or at least moving closer to them in the coming 365 days.
Next look at what action you can take in the next day or two to begin. Sometimes you just might need to do some research. But don’t get stuck in the analysis paralysis.
