3 Tips to a Better Night’s Sleep
Do you have trouble getting to sleep?
Do you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep?
Lately, I’ve been hearing from friends and clients that they are having trouble sleeping. If you are too, rather than tossing and turning and frustrating yourself further, grab your journal……..
- Make a list – Write a list of everything that’s on your mind. We are all so busy that often the stress of a daunting to-do list can keep us awake. Writing it all down can be a way to set it aside, at least until the morning.
- Gratitude list – Even on tough days, we can always come up with 3 to 5 things that we are grateful for. Doing this before lights out can shift your focus and make falling asleep easier.
- Visualize your day – Write a synopsis of your vision for tomorrow. Beginning with something like “I wake up refreshed and energized” and ending with “I fall asleep easily and effortlessly, ready for another awesome [or productive, insert adjective of your choice] day tomorrow”.
Hope these tips help. Sweet Dreams.
